This impression of the Master's most beautiful and important composition is one of only 24 known to Lehrs. In his catalogue, Lehrs records this particular example as 'Matt und restauriert' (matt and restored), but considers only seven impressions as good, of which just three have survived in good condition (Berlin, Dresden and Vienna). It is hence extremely rare for this subject to come to the market.
