Astrid Meyer
Fishwives
An impression printed on very thin Japan paper.
Astrid Meyer studied at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London and exhibited in linocut exhibitions organised by Claude Flight during the 1930s. The scene depicted is Dutch and is probably somewhere like Veere, a picturesque fishing village in Zeeland, Holland, where Flight and several of his followers visited.
