Wall Street Journal on the Matisse Cut-Out Show at MOMA
The exhibition, 'Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs', which closed last month at the Tate Modern, is to open this Sunday at MOMA in New York. It will feature over 100 cut-outs made between 1937 and 1954 including the addition of 'The Swimming Pool', a work that has not been seen at the museum for more than 20 years. The show became the Tate's most successful exhibit, drawing over 560,000 visitors during its five-month run and running 24 hours a day during its final weekend - it is well worth a visit.
